Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
